Kocka

The black cube. Kocka is what Mozak builds: isolated thinking made into an object. It stands for ego and individualism, the separate narrow ideas the brain creates, the same ideas that were used to build civilization and society.

It is perfect, hard, sealed and empty. Its surface is a mirror, so whoever stares into it sees only themselves, which is exactly the point. Kocka comes in every size, from monoliths that form the streets of a cube-built world to small blocks cradled in the hand and stroked like a phone. It never opens. When it finally does, there is a brain inside.
